Removal of the Old Emission Device

  1. Before installing a new emission device, determine the cause of the failure of the previous unit. If the emission device was melted, check the ignition system. Repair or replace the necessary components.
  2. Disconnect the battery.
  3. Safely lift the vehicle to access the emission device.
  4. Carefully disconnect the oxygen sensor connections, pressure lines, temperature sensors, and NOX sensor.
  5. Unscrew the emission device from the connecting pipes or flanges.
  6. Remove the old emission device from the vehicle.

Installation of the Replacement Emission Device

  1. Clean the connecting pipes and flanges to ensure a leak-free connection with the new emission device.
  2. Replacing gaskets, sensors, and injectors (SCR catalyst) is mandatory. It is highly recommended to install the sensors onto the emission device before mounting it into the exhaust system to ensure leak-free connections.
  3. Install the new emission device with the new sensors in the correct flow direction. Check and ensure that there is no interference with the chassis or other body components.
  4. Secure the emission device to the connecting pipes or flanges. Start with the connection to the engine side, followed by the brackets, and finally the rear connecting pipe.
  5. Lower the vehicle and reconnect the battery.
  6. Start the vehicle, take a test drive, and then inspect the exhaust system for leaks. Repeat this inspection after 1,000 km.

Mechanical Damage, Missing Documentation, or Warranty Conditions

Failure to provide the following documents may result in the rejection of a warranty claim:

  • Proof of purchase of the product (invoice).
  • Proof of purchase for sensors and injectors.

If the required documents are not provided, complaints will not be processed.
